NBA

The NBA, or National Basketball Association, is a professional basketball league in North America composed of 30 teams, divided into two conferences: the Eastern Conference and the Western Conference. Founded in New York City on June 6, 1946, as the Basketball Association of America (BAA), it merged with the National Basketball League (NBL) in 1949 to become the NBA. The league is widely regarded as the premier men’s professional basketball league in the world. NBA teams compete in an 82-game regular season, followed by playoffs, culminating in the NBA Finals where the conference champions compete for the championship. The league features some of the world’s top basketball players and is also known for its popularity, global reach, and high level of competition.
