NBA

NBA stands for National Basketball Association, which is a professional basketball league in North America. It is considered one of the major professional sports leagues in the United States and Canada and is widely regarded as the premier men’s professional basketball league in the world. The NBA was founded on June 6, 1946, originally as the Basketball Association of America (BAA) and later merged with the National Basketball League (NBL) in 1949 to become the NBA. The league consists of 30 teams, which are divided into two conferences: the Eastern Conference and the Western Conference. Each team plays an 82-game regular season, and the league’s postseason culminates in the NBA Finals, where the two conference champions compete for the championship title. The NBA is known for its high level of athleticism, competitive play, and significant cultural influence, representing a major component of sports entertainment both in the U.S. and globally.
